Nick DiCicco is the Director of Public Safety Communications, Heights Hillcrest Regional Dispatch Center in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.   He started the organization with one facility, nine full time employees and seven municipalities. Over a 4-year period, expanded the organization to three facilities, 120+ employees with service to thirty one municipalities. Cultivated strong relationships with agency Chief‘s to promote cooperative interactions and improve communication services. Manage, administer and coordinate the activities of 911 center serving police, fire and EMS departments within Geauga and Cuyahoga County. Successfully leads a team of over 120 Public Safety dispatchers focused on providing the best service possible to the citizens and public safety responders served by the center. Promote philosophies which enhance public safety, create efficiencies, reduce liabilities, and strengthen interpersonal relationships. Administers annual budget including prudent reviews of operational costs and forecast of budget estimates for anticipated needs. Successfully balanced budget, coming at or below budget limitations for the last five years.

FIREFIGHTER / PARAMEDIC | 06/2000 to Current Orange Village Fire Department - Orange Village, OH Test and inspect tools, equipment and gear to maintain readiness for different fire scenarios. Assess nature and extent of fire, condition of buildings, danger to adjacent buildings and water supply status to determine crew or company requirements. Answer emergency situations quickly and assess conditions to contain fires and assist victims. Assess emergency situations and prioritize medical care for patients. Manage care in field and in-transit, including performing standard testing and administering necessary medication.

Participated in local community events to communicate and collaborate with residents and business owners on methods for reducing crime.
