Matt Curran is a Policy Advisor with the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services. In this position, he supports a range of programs and initiatives, including development of the New York State Homeland Security Strategy and capturing statewide emergency preparedness data as part of the County Emergency Preparedness Assessment program. During the ongoing response to COVID-19, Matt supported donation management efforts, as well as data analysis on COVID positivity and vaccination rates. Prior to his current position, Matt served four years as a Research Analyst at DHSES. Matt holds an MPA from Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at the University at Albany.
