Jennifer Kiger is the Director of the COVID-19 Division at Harris County Public Health.
Jennifer received her master’s degree in Public Health concentration in Epidemiology at UT Health Science Center in Houston. Experience includes: Epidemiologist for the Houston Health Department, Program Manager for the Centers for Public Health Preparedness through ASPH, and Regional Preparedness Manager at the Texas Department of State Health Services. She has responded to several emergencies including 2008 TX Hurricanes, H1N1, TX West Nile Response, TX Wildfires 2010, Houston Flooding 2016, Hurricane Harvey 2017, 2019 Chemical Plant Fire, and 2019 TS Imelda.
Since February 2020, she served as one of the Co-Incident Commanders for Harris County Public Health’s response to COVID-19.
